World of Goo, übercool game!
A friend of mine recently showed my a little game called “World of Goo“. A little skeptical in advance based on the bizarre name, I checked it out – and I was stunned!
Amazing artwork, beautiful graphics, impressive physics engine and a perfect balance between simplicity and gameplay possibilies, I was blown away. After geeking it for 2-3 hours I concluded that this might be the coolest little game I have tried in a long time. Everybody that has played other physics simulation games before (like Pontifex bridge builder) will love this one – guaranteed!
The concept: Put simply, the game is a construction simulator where you have to build towers, bridges or even vehicles from goo balls and transport your goo to it’s destination. Different types of goo, creative maps and multiple construction solutions delivers the variety.
Here’s the official gameplay appetizer below (or alternative version on YouTube):
You can grab it yourself here and it’s available for both Windows and Mac (+ Linux). Pay what you think it’s worth.
Have fun and happy goo’ing!
