Secondly: My postflow here at the blog had a sudden death in the middle of my South America adventure. Yes, I am sorry for the lack of videos and photos lately, but it’s so time consuming and expensive (internet in NZ and Aussie is off the roof compared to SA). When I get the time, I will make a “World Trip Best Of” compilation to share, that will give a good insight in all the amazing experiences I had in Chile, Easter Island, Tahiti, New Zealand and Australia.

Thirdly: I updated the Google Map with my (almost) complete travel route – check it out here (I haven’t updated NZ and Aussie completely yet, it will come). For anyone considering doing backpacking abroad, I definitely recommend the whole route as a perfect combination of culture, people, nature, adventure and party. Only thing to consider: it is more time consuming that one might think to backpack, and even small distances can take a lot of time if you want to get the full benefit. I could easily have spent more time in both South America and Australia, and frankly, I only saw a tiny part of what the continents have to offer…

Last but not least: I am off for my next adventure – one month of InterRail around Europe! Matter of fact, at the time of writing this post, I am sitting in the train towards Hamburg in Germany (currently arriving at Rødby to take the ferry from Denmark to Puttgarden in Germany). Our route is somewhat unclear right now, but we will most likely make it down Western Europe (including Amsterdam), cross over the Alps and then up north through all of Eastern Europe.  Ahh, so good to be going again… H. C. Andersen was right: Travelling IS life!

Some time ago, i watched the cinema movie Control with my good friend Nicolaj. It’s a very emotional movie about the life and tragedy of Ian Curtis and Joy Division. It’s all in b/w, very stylistic and unique in it’s sense of filming.

When you leave the cinema seats after the lights get turned on, you’re left with a mixed feeling of both fascination and melancholy. Especially the sad ending really hits you where you’re softest. Recommended to everyone

Thanks to everyone at Camp Unknown for a great time, was fun meeting so many new people. For everyone’s interested, here’s a link to the Facebook Group page.  Even though the music olio has been criticized by many for the lack of blockbusting artists, i’d argument the selection was indeed very good. Many different genres we’re represented and i discovered a few great bands myself – some of them:

• MGMT (Kids + Time to Pretend + Electric Feel)
• Hot Chip (Ready for the Floor)
• Band of Horses (Is There a Ghost + The Funeral)
• Digitalism - Clubbing, hardcore!
• Slagsmålsklubben - Awesome Amiga/Nintendo retro-synth from these swedish guys
• However, there still was alot great bands i did’nt get to see/hear (either caused by drunkiness or laziness, who’s to blame)

The most favourable concerts were, in my opinion:

• Radiohead – Great use of screen effects and lightning, and with Karma Police for a sing-along ending, it went off beautifully (reactions from the audience here)
• The Streets – You gotta give it to him, the guy delivers. With the “everybody takes off their shirt and go low”, it was an awesome scene show)
• The Chemical Brothers – Full-blown party mood, with great effects and intense beats.
• Worth mentioning was also Hot Chip, MGMT and Band of Horses as written about above, great stuff..

The drunken brawling, the candid openminded people, the extremely overpriced Nachos and, not to forget, the girls… Ughh – bring back the Orange Feeling!
